The leather has a structured, sturdy and supple hand, and the construction is top notch, just what you'd expect. LAPTOP: I use a 13" Macbook Pro and it fits in here with plenty of room to spare. Could easily put it in it's own additionally-padded case and it would fit. This thing will fit even the largest (or most archaic) laptop.STORAGE: the front pouch offers a generous variety of both elastic and nylon lining pouches in varying sizes. I had enough secure and strapped-down places to put my iPod, digital voice recorder (and accessories), digital camera, reading light, Laptop power supply, USB wall charger, variety of USB cables and reading light...which is for what goes in the zippered pouch behind all this, my Kindle 3. If you are gadgety, this is an excellent and well organized choice. Outside of the pouches, the stuff I put in and pull out frequently (Macbook power supply for example) gets thrown down into bottom of the organizer pouch itself. Other than that, every single compartment has either nylon pouches or zippered pouches, so separation and thus organization are the order of the day.
